Roland Mouret Cyrus Top version

Hello

Have you seen this top? I really like it and it can be use for any occasion. I bought stretch polyester crepe in white, red and black.

I was suppose to make a whole outfit: Pants and top, but the white crepe needed lining and then I changed my mind.

I cut RM cyrus top pattern in white and red and I bought RiRi zippers for making this sewing project.

Details of RM cyrus top.
The collar in this Cyrus model has facing and two side darts


The back has two long darts and an end-separating zipper


The Top is based on this dress, with the exception that the top of the dress is made with four panels. The dress is Called Roland Mouret Afyon.

Since the white fabric needed lining, I decided to cut two fronts in fashion fabric, and I faced the back .








With the red Top I used just facing. The zipper is not end-separating but long enough. I will sew this top in different colors. It's a very versatile top.

Hello Everyone.! As the title says this sewing project was inspired by the Silk faille skirt from TIBI. This skirt was a boom between bloggers, in colours red and lime green,  but when I checked the website of TIBI you also can find it in black.  I did'nt have Silk faille fabric but I remember that I did have taffeta which I bought long time ago. So, I decided to sew my own version. The pictures were took at my work place and there was so much wind, it was crazy, but here it is my Tibi skirt version           I dont know how Silk faille fabric behave but I can say that Taffeta is not the best option, it gets wrinkle very easy and you must use something under to avoid static electricity. My Roland Mouret Neon Green Betley Top version

Hei In my fabrics stash I did have some pieces of neon green crepe fabric. I love that color, and I did really want to do a Top with it. So, I managed to do a Top based on the dress from Roland Mouret called Betley, but I didn't have enough fabric for me to  be able to make the front part  in one piece that's why you see the top front part made of two pieces sew together. (Picture 1), the original do not have it. Picture 1   Picture 2   I didn't want the front part to be open in the belly area. I did also a small change in the back.   It's done...!

My Roland Mouret Lush dress version

Hello Long time without making a post. I was on holidays in the sunny Creta. A while ago I bought a medium cotton woven fabric. I dont know how to describe the colour it's like dark fuchsia but not even sure. I did find quite hard to get a nice thread that could match the color of the fabric and even a zipper, so I decided to use black thread for contrasting with the dark fuchsia. The fabric was prewashed, pressed, the grain was squared-off for every piece of the dress to be cut. I must say that this fabric felt heavy during the sewing process. But I managed. I am quite happy with the result.
