Dolce and Gabbana Corset Top Style

Hello

I have not stopped sewing, I think I have increased my sewing projects specially because it helps me to be at home and relax. I am also working from home.

I have done the pattern of one of Dolce and Gabbana many corset styles. The one I am writting about, is in the pictures below.




I made a toile, to check the fitting and the length of the corset.




The pattern


I have used the fabric of a old Cotton pants.











I was quite happy with the result, but I am at the same time quite picky, my husband says no one will see it, but I see it, I know about it, and it bothers me, but I will try to let it go, the placement of the zipper was not easy with this stretchy mesh, I dont have a perfect meet on the top, but I will have to live with it.

I also sew a pink one, here are some Pictures.

My TIBI Skirt version

Hello Everyone.! As the title says this sewing project was inspired by the Silk faille skirt from TIBI. This skirt was a boom between bloggers, in colours red and lime green,  but when I checked the website of TIBI you also can find it in black.  I did'nt have Silk faille fabric but I remember that I did have taffeta which I bought long time ago. So, I decided to sew my own version. The pictures were took at my work place and there was so much wind, it was crazy, but here it is my Tibi skirt version           I dont know how Silk faille fabric behave but I can say that Taffeta is not the best option, it gets wrinkle very easy and you must use something under to avoid static electricity. And as I said the wind was crazy....       See you until my next article.

My Roland Mouret Neon Green Betley Top version

Hei In my fabrics stash I did have some pieces of neon green crepe fabric. I love that color, and I did really want to do a Top with it. So, I managed to do a Top based on the dress from Roland Mouret called Betley, but I didn't have enough fabric for me to  be able to make the front part  in one piece that's why you see the top front part made of two pieces sew together. (Picture 1), the original do not have it. Picture 1   Picture 2   I didn't want the front part to be open in the belly area. I did also a small change in the back.   It's done...!

My Version of Roland Mouret Afyon dress

Hello This was not the best fabric for sewing this dress, but I love the color, so I gave it a try. To work with this fabric was not easy, I even got headache. But I love the result, and I am a pink lover (^.^) I decided to sew the skirt differently because I already have the pattern. ( ROLAND MOURET Aspen Pencil Skirt back) I got into trouble after having the whole dress sew. I started to see small details that make me crazy, and then I decided to take apart the back of the dress, and re-measure. The problem is the stretch of the dress, it stretchs in all directions, you can be off for 0,5 cm, and I can see it, I hate it.
