Dolce and Gabbana Eyelet-lace stretch satin trouser style.

Hello

I think is very clear that I am NOT a designer but a Sewer. I love sewing and if I like a piece of clothing I will do my best to make it.

When I saw this trousers from Dolce and Gabbana they screamed to me: Sexy and daring. I said to myself, I am going to make it.

I did start my SEW-search with the eyelet ribbon, I found it but not with the same eyelet distance. The another option was to make it myself, and then it will take forever. I decided to buy the one I found.

Black stretch satin, good quality, made in Italy. Very happy.

I bought meters and meters of black cord.

I did have black thread, zipper and fasteners.

I made a cigarette pants with a stretch fabric and from it I made the pattern marking where the eyelet ribbon was going to be placed.

Parts 1 and 2
Part 3
Part 4

My first issue was that the distance between eyelets in the tape is 2.5cm. It was not easy to place both side of the eyelet tape and make it fit with the cord.

I realized that I should stretch a bit Parts 1 and 2 of the trouser.

Before completing the cord placement I sew the opening in the bottom back of the leg. Then the fly front zipper.

Suddenly the process stop because 10 meters of Eyelet tape was not enough, so I bought more and shipping takes time.

When I was threading the cord at the bottom back of the leg I realized that it was done wrongly. I did have to look at the Pictures few times, then redo it.

This has been a cool Project to sew. I am suprised of myself. Every Project teachs me something. Give me more confident. Practice, practice and practice.

It takes time because if you want a good result it's important to make a toile, take into consideration the small details and when you feel satisfied with the toile look and fit it's just a matter of taking the fashion fabric, cut and sew.

I have finally been able to finish this sewing Project and here are the Pictures:
